The Trench Stage is an open-roof, medium difficulty Stage in Build A Boat For Treasure.
This stage formerly contained the old Secret Treasure Chest #5. It currently contains the Large Treasure #2.
Appearance[]
Firefly
Compared to other stages, the Trench Stage features a darkened Water color along with Stalagmites and Mushrooms that damage boats upon contact. Unique to the stage is the partial rooftop and mossy overhang, which are purely aesthetic. The stage also features fireflies, which are represented by small, glowing squares (similar to a Neon Block) that float around the sides.
Secret Treasure[]
There is a secret area at the top of the widest waterfall on the left side of the stage. This leads to a small, wooded area with a purple castle toward the back. Within the castle is Large Treasure #2, behind a gate guarded by an eye. The player must put the eye to sleep by brewing a Sleep Potion. This is done by interacting with the nearby berry bushes in the order of: blue, white, white, or blue, blue, white. Then the player must throw said potion at the eye, at which point the gate lifts to allow access to the Large Treasure.

The stage's slanted roof can tip over taller boats, a disadvantage faced by all teams except White Team. The lack of highly dangerous obstacles, however, offers the player more time to reach a safer position or a seat within their boat in case this occurs.
The open roof also lacks an invisible ceiling, unlike the Tribal Stage, so boats equipped with flying blocks, such as the Jet Turbine, can enter the stage from above. However, if the player is attempting The Box quest, this means that the roof will not protect the boat from flying out of the stage if the Mystery Box turns blue (which summons a giant balloon). Furthermore, the slant on the roof can launch the boat sideways into the void.
