The Balloon Block is an ability block introduced as part of the 1 Million Favorites update.

Obtaining[]

The Balloon Block can be found in Rare to Legendary Chests or purchased in the Shop at a rate of 45 Gold for 3.

Former methods[]

The Balloon Block were first introduced to the Shop as a limited-time sale on 6/12/2018 at 3:30 PM central time, costing 300 gold for 20. However, Balloons purchased between this date and 6/21/2018 were later converted into Star Balloons as part of the 1 Million Favorites event.

Five Balloon Blocks could have be obtained using the expired code "Happy Valentine's day".

Appearance[]

The base of the Balloon Block is a small, white block 1/8 the volume of a whole Material Block.

Functionality[]

When the player activates a Balloon Block, it inflates, producing a randomly-colored balloon Balloon Blocks can also be popped by clicking on them when inflated, but can be reactivated after being popped.

Merging[]

Despite not being a material, Balloon Blocks can also be merged together or scaled using the Scaling Tool, which causes its balloons to appear larger, have higher durability, last longer, and lift more Blocks. This also applies to the Star Balloon Blocks.

Unmerged Balloon Blocks will always provide the same amount of lift to a block. Because of this, the lift of merged balloons will start off lower than unmerged balloons. However, merged balloons quickly surpass unmerged in power after several more are added. The relationship appears to be parabolic, which makes it difficult to predict the number of Balloon Blocks required to effectively lift a block.

A list of how many balloons it will take to successfully lift a block upwards can be found at Block Weight.

Trivia[]

  • Balloon Blocks used to pop after being inflated for a period of time.
  • Activating a balloon, then quickly cloning it before the balloon rises will create a sphere.

  • The thumbnail for the Balloon Block shows three inflated Balloon Blocks, despite each individual Balloon Block consisting of only one.
